ABOUT DMC EMBROIDERY FLOSS

These bookmarks are hand embroidered with floss made by DMC, a textile company founded in 1746 in Mulhouse, France by Jean-Henri Dollfus. Still made in the city of the company’s birth, DMC embroidery floss has been a staple of craftspeople for generations. Today, DMC maintains the highest environmental standards for production, partly thanks to its own water recycling system. After centuries, the Dollfus family motto is still as true as ever: TENUI FILO MAGNUM TEXITUR OPUS: «From a simple thread, a work of art is born».

ABOUT LINEN

Made from flax, linen is one of the oldest and most sustainable fibers known. It is durable, versatile, and perennial. Fragments of this amazing textile have been found at Swiss lake dwellings dating back to 8,000 BC.

Fine linen is a traditional gift for 4th anniversary and 12th anniversary.
